Grateful to be here today. Randy, my prayers are with you. God is using you as an amazing example of sobriety. Thank you so much. India....i slipped after 12 years and ive been blessed with 1913 days of a quality of sobriety i wouldn't trade for the world. Cheryl can make it back. Some of us get to relapse so that others dont have to. I worked a solid program for 10 years. For one year i worked the lopsided triangle and did service only and hence my 3 month slip that ended in homelessness, NO one who cared (enabled me....lol), non stop drinking and using and finally 5150. I even gave my kids that had never seen me drink to their very sick and drunk dad. Didnt pick up where i left off. It was as if I'd never stopped. I guess thats why theres a triangle, not a line. Unity, service and recovery....oh yeah. Point being......i made it back. I'm praying for Cheryl to come home soon. And thank you for coming home without a relapse. Proof that we don't have to drink no matter what. You are an angel. Thank you. Sorry bout my lil speaker meeting. You all just touched me so much. A happy Thanksgiving to all. You are true miracles and i am blessed to share in your lives. God bless.

Thank you for sharing. I too got caught up in service and came to realize that I had to find balance. The program doesn't stop at Step 12, it is a continuing growth pattern and as a friend says, "I am always a newcomer." I remain open to learning and I stop thinking I know it all and each day is a spiritual quest.

My name is Jessica not new to this, I had 18 years walked away did my own thing. To my surprise it has not worked at all for several years, go figure. I guess it takes what it takes and thanks heavens I am still alive to get it right. But I can't do this alone and I live in a new state and due to my 1st dui I can't drive and I live in the country with no public transportation, so I plan on checking in here daily. I am so grateful for this online forum. I have 2 days and I am taking comfort in all I have to do is stay sober today and that is so much more palatable than never drinking again. Again thank you for listening!

MajestyJo 12-22-2014 04:37 AM

Welcome Jessica, thank you for signing in and sharing. As you know it is one day at a time and hopefully you will continue to come and share your journey with us.

Hi All, I am Neil and I am an Alcoholic/Addict, Peace and love to all.
I am 38 in the rooms now 2 1/2 years clean since May 1 2014 so 10 months in again, but on a learning curve since my relapse. Love the rooms and the people here in Luton / London, they and the steps have helped steer my life in a new direction. Am making amends to my family and friend by a change in my thoughts behaviors and actions, am rebuilding ...well everything..:-) Just finishing step 8/9 with my sponsor (second time round),...working hard, growing spiritually, peace and love to all.

joshstephmiller 03-08-2015 08:23 AM

Hello, my name is Stephanie Deckert Miller and my husband and I stopped actively using Oct 6, 2014. We did, however have a relapse and our new clean date is December 7, 2014. My D.O.C is "high" because I don't discriminate on different drugs, I use them all but my most recent addiction was with heroin. Now I am ready to be clean, to do right by myself and my savior and I appreciate being a member of this forum. I love being able to read everydays readings all in the same place. I love this forum! Thank you everyone!

MajestyJo 03-09-2015 05:14 AM

Welcome Stephanie, thanks for stopping in and saying hello and sharing with us. Hope you will continue to come and share your journey with us.

The drugs are but a symptom of our disease, they all lead to the same soul sickness. I tried substitution and it didn't work for me, so glad you are here.
