I have been sober now for 10 months. I came to the AA fellowship 3 months ago. Wow!! What a difference this program has made in my life. Working the steps is helping me to maintain my sobriety & rebuild family relationships.

Welcome Randy, congratulations on 10 months. You have many months ahead of you if you stay clean and sober. I once heard, if your wife goes to Al-Anon, that there is your program, her program, and our program. It makes for a strong foundation. Al-Anon isn't about talking about you, it is about her looking at her.

When you get to Step 12, you start again at Step One, because you have more awareness and understanding, that is how you grow and heal.

My name is tom and I am an alcoholic. I live about a half hour south of salt lake city, utah. I got sober in ventura, CA. My sobriety date is 1/7/11. Welcome! Don't let a relapse work on your head. Go back to what worked and keep on the path. All sober time is good time and the best of us make mistakes. I try to burn into my memory how bad my last relapse was, how I ruined my own vacation and never want to do that again. I practice doing it right in my head and will use the tools God gave me to prevent it from happening again.

Each day is a new day! One day at a time!!!!
