Was sharing with a friend yesterday how most of my life I thought I was ugly. We have known each other for over 50 years. She said, "Oh no girl, you were just fine." You were so sophisticated, you were tall and could wear anything, especially hats. In recovery, I had to go back and look at old pictures and it helped me to see I wasn't so ugly as I thought I was. When you feel hopeless and at the end of your rope:
1. I may not understand the good in this situation but it is there. 2. I muster up more hope and courage from deep inside me. 3. I choose to find hopeful and optimistic ways to look at this. 4. I kindly ask for help and guidance if I cannot see a better way. 5. I refuse to give up because I haven’t tried all possible ways. |
