Welcome to the site. Did you go to Al-Anon or Nar-Anon? They are great support groups and they help us to detach from the alcoholic/addict and focus on ourselves and our own issues. I went to AA for my denial. I went to NA for identification, I always knew I was an addict, some is good, more is better, about most things in my life. I went to Al-Anon and found myself, so I didn't have to keep looking at others to fulfill me and make me happy. Happiness comes from within, I am responsible for my own happiness.
