Default An Accountability Buddy

AN ACCOUNTABILITY BUDDY

So how are your goals going this year? It’s always good to have an accountability buddy with us when we are trying to improve ourselves. Having someone we can count on to push us to do more is great. We are more likely to get things done and also help others to reach their goals. We also have an accountability buddy in God. Yes, He is our Lord and Savior. But He is also our friend who we can talk with about anything.

The best thing about when we are practicing anything is we don’t have to do it alone. When we are tired, we can go to God. When we just want to talk, we can go to God. When we need strength, we can go to God. God is always with us, ready to help us, and able to do more in us that we can do on our own. We should look to God for all we need.

SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 3:20 “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Write down what you are trying to accomplish.
2. List the things you have done and what is left to do.
3. Know God is able to help you if this is in line with His will.
4. Pray asking God if you are on the right track and to help you with the next step.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for Your word and direction which helps us to know what we need to do. Thank You for your mighty power that works within us so we can get more done. Thank You that You care about us and we can give You our worries and concerns. We are so grateful You push us to do more when we read Your word. We are so grateful You love us so much that You want was is best for us. Thank You for being our friend, our Lord, and our Savior. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
God’s word is out of this world! He can make things happen that the world just don’t understand!

What a friend we have in Jesus! He wants us to walk with Him and to follow Him so we don’t get off track.

God doesn’t give us anything we can’t handle and He wants us to rely on Him along the way so He can help us.

Practicing doing God’s will and staying in His word will help us to face whatever problems we have in life. Because He is with us, we can have comfort He will take care of us.

When we humble ourselves before God, He will help us at just the right time.

FOCUS: 1 Peter 5:6-7 “So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” (NLT)

We can rely on God. We can give God our troubles to take care of. We can talk to God. He is all we need to live a right life for Him.
