Handling A Crisis
Before recovery whenever a crisis hits we would depend on drinking or drugging as the way to handle getting through those times. The problem of doing this is that it really doesn't work and usually only makes things worse, but we didn't know any other way. Recovery is that other way, and we will be amazed how well it works for the many crises will have even after we get sober. We don't get an exemption from all of life's difficulties when we enter recovery, but we do get a way to handle any and all crisis life may throw at us that works quite well.
