As I sit here in my solitude, I remember parts of my life and the memories flow like the current on a calm sea. Now this is surly a gift because I can remember when there would be angry, nothing but angry thoughts and they played on and on over and over again like they were hooked on a loop. This is where my drinking and druging broght me. The hardest thing for me to say is I need help, please help me. Wgen I surrended and part of that was asking for help. It was like dropping a bag of brinks. Now, sixteen years later I live a life behond my dreams. I'm not rich, but I have all I need, and more. Nolonger do I live in my head angry. Humility, what a gift, reward, sobriety

AS I PRAY FOR OTHERS, I AM RICHLY BLESSED.
As I bear witness to Truth for others, I cannot help but experience its power myself. Prayer awakens in me a profound knowing of the infinite power and presence of God. When I affirm another’s prosperity, my assurance in Spirit’s infinite supply is deepened. As I bless those who may have hurt me, I reinforce the healing power of grace and forgiveness in my life. I LIVE IN THE PRESENT MOMENT.
Life takes on new meaning as I understand the power of the present moment, which is God’s eternal now. All that has gone before has brought me to this moment. I realize the futility of past regrets and let them go. To live fully in the present, I must also realize that the future is only a concept and its mysteries cannot be known. My readiness for what lies ahead depends on what I make of today’s opportunities. I put my energy and focus on making the most of what is before me right now. The present brings me new opportunities to serve, love, forgive, understand, and grow. I am inspired to think in new ways and step out in new directions. To function at optimum health, I nourish myself with nutritious food and drink, plenty of exercise, and time for renewal and rest. Such care and attention feels good in the moment and pays dividends for years to come.
My healthy body knows exactly what to do, and I support it. I voice encouraging and uplifting words to and about myself, rather than criticism or fear. Whether positive or negative, the thoughts and words I tell myself also feed my body. Positive self-talk invigorates and supports my intention to maintain a vibrant, healthy body. I am physically and spiritually alive and well. I am wonderfully aglow with light, life, and vitality. W.O.W.101 |

Each day, I set aside time to pray for others—for those I love, for my community, and for the world. While events in life may prompt me to worry, I choose instead to trust in God.
I begin my prayer by aligning my thoughts with God-consciousness. My mind is calm; I am centered in my heart; and I breathe easily. In the quiet, I see those for whom I pray enfolded in Divine Love. I envision peace and guidance moving in and through their life circumstances. Divine Love, present and active, is healing and restoring, bringing balance and harmony. Abandon: Negative Thinking
The way we think has a tremendous amount of influence on our lives. Our thoughts can motivate us, make us mad, or even deceive us. We've all been there - someone else is talking to us and we're wondering if they're thinking we're cute or if we're good enough to be their friend. All the while, perhaps they're thinking the same thing or they're thinking about what's for dinner! Not only does negative thinking affect our relationships, it can also affect our performance academically and in the workplace. When we criticize ourselves with negative thinking, our bodies lose much needed energy. This wasted energy keeps us from performing at our highest potential, which unfortunately, tends to keep the negative thinking going. How do we abandon negative thinking? Paul tells us in Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things." (NIV) We need to fill our minds with whatever is true and right that God puts before us each day. Is it easy? No. Is it something we have to work at each day? Yes! Prayer: Our Father, help us to think about things that are good, beautiful, and excellent. May we learn to recognize when negative thoughts come our way to filter them out quickly so they don't zap our energy. There are some people that I'm in awe of. They are always in a good mood and always have something positive to say. My ex Mother in Law is one of these people I have had the fortune of having in my life. Every time I would ask her how she was doing, she would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!" She was a natural spiritual motivator. While visiting her one of many times my son was having a particular negative and all around bad day. I was beside myself on how to handle him. She asked me if she could have a talk with him and I said a definite, "YES." I watched her go to him as I had seen her do with so many others around her and with her amazing grace and humbleness she started quietly talking with him. I could not hear what she was saying but within minutes he immediately became calmer and went about his day with a positive outlook and seemed to be glowing the rest of that day and many more days after that.
Having a particular bad day myself once I finally went to her and in and almost in tears said to her, " I don't get it! You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it? What's your secret of being such a positive person every day?"She replied to me, "There's no secret Hon, each morning I wake up and say to myself, I have two choices today. I can choose to be in a good mood or I can choose to be in a bad mood. So every day I choose to be in a good mood. Each time something bad happens in my life I can choose to be a victim or I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it. Every time someone complains I can choose to accept their complaining or I can point out the positive side of life. "Choose the positive side of life every day? Yeah, right, it's not that easy," I protested. " Yes, it is,"She said."Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to all situations. You can choose how people affect your mood. You can choose to be in a good mood or a bad mood. The bottom line is it's your choice how you live your life." I have reflected on what she shared with me many days since then. I think of her often sometimes daily especially when I've not made a positive choice upon wakening. I often start my days over during the day as did my son that day and make a choice about living a positive day and then I act in life instead of reacting to it. I then remember that I do have the choice to live fully. Thank you God for giving me the gift of choice. Thank God for my Ex Mother in Law who taught me how to live. Attitude, after all, is everything. "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough troubles of its own." I am not at my optimum health. There was a time that I was very strick with my reseme. Lately, I'm more spiritual, I am honest, I do service. I have a few health issuses that I'm finding it hard to go to the specialist again and go thru procedures that didn't work the last time.
I have faith in the Devine, his will not mine. Hopefully, I'll continue to read your thread and be inspired to be more mindful of my health. |

I just wanted to re share this, I'm trying real hard to practice this in my daily walk.
Do I trigger gossip? ______ Personal inventory. There is a saying that "listening to gossip is gossip". How true! If there were no listeners, there would never be any gossip. Some of us who pride ourselves in refraining from gossip may still have a problem with it. It's possible we still keep our ears open for any juicy gossip that could fall our way. We might also "shake the tree" if we believe another person has some gossip to share with us. This is done in seemingly innocent ways, sometimes just by mentioning the name of a person to another who may have strong opinions to express. The harm of gossip lies in what we do to ourselves when we engage in it. There is no way we can continue to have spiritual growth if we practice gossip, even as passive listeners. Spiritual growth takes place within us, and it needs an environment completely free of an ill will. Let's beware of any tendency to say things that induce others to gossip. At the same time, let's tune out gossip that seems to occur spontaneously. Gossip is the enemy of the growth we desire. It is a real relief to know that today I have no desire to spread gossip or listen to it. This includes things I might read in magazines or newspapers. W.O.W101 |

Thought 4 2day. Whoever gossips to you will gossip about you. Gossip can kill the trust in any relationship. We all need to feel safe when we share our personal lives with others. We need to know our private business won't be spread around
