Deuteronomy 4:7b '.... the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to Him.'

- Prayer is simply talking to God.
- It is a delight to think that we can turn to Him in prayer at any moment.
- As we do so we can know that He is near to us and not afar off.
- May you know His abiding presence today as you continue to trust Him!

PRAYER: Lord, thank You that You are just a prayer away. I rejoice in knowledge that that the Lord my God is near to me and that You hear my call and prayers. Amen.

One of my favourite sayings is, "Remember to take your God with you." What ever you believe or don't believe is not the issue, it is about how active my faith and trust is in today. When I get to my elevator, especially when it is in the morning, I do an inventory and say, "Did you say the Serenity Prayer yet today?" If not, I say it there along with an amend to my God for forgetting about Him and not making contact and turning my day over to Him. I can't, just for today, I choose to let Him lead, guide, direct me in the way He would have me go.
