Default God Never Changes

GOD NEVER CHANGES

Every day there is some type of change in this world. There is bad news we see or hear about. There are people who we knew and loved who have passed on and left this world. There are good changes as well; like new babies, new opportunities or new friends. We can always count on change. However, with all this change in the world, we do need one constant in our lives. Without some constant to cling to or hold on to, we can easily get distracted or swayed. That constant is God. It is His word. It is His gifts to us. We can always know whatever is good and perfect is a gift from God. And He is all we need.

SCRIPTURE:
James 1:17 "Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow." (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Write down what is good about God.
2. List the things you can always count on with Him.
3. Read His word and get to know Him better.
4. Know He never changes and you can always rely on Him.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, we thank You that You never change. We are so blessed with the good and perfect gifts from You that are eternal and constant. Thank You for Your word. Thank You for Your promises. Thank You for Your blessings. We know change is constant in this world; however, You are the constant we truly need. We love and adore You and thank You for being our constant who never changes. In Jesus' name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
This ever changing world can get us down; however, God's word can lift us up.

We can easily get distracted by the changes in this world; however, God's word can keep us focused on Him.

The changes in this world seem to come so rapidly. That is why we need God to help us slow down and know He never changes.

Sometimes the changes of the world can make us feel like we are in a whirlwind. That is why we need to be still and know God.

God's loves is constant, unfailing and never changes.

FOCUS:
Psalm 59:10a "In his unfailing love, my God will stand with me." (NLT)

If we want consistency in our lives, we can find it in God's word.
