Daily Word

Time for Me
I am God's beloved.
Setting aside some time for myself, I do some creative activity, or I may simply enjoy a peaceful break on my own in the quiet. During this mini-retreat, I am conscious of Spirit within, and the capacity of my heart to contain God's love expands.
I am beloved of God--not for what I do, what I look like, nor what I own. I am beloved because I am a child of God. There are no conditions placed on divine love. The respect I have for myself shows my appreciation for all I've been given--life, health, and abundant supply.
An added bonus of caring for myself is that I actually have more to offer others. So I may follow a time for me by spending time with another, which brings us both a greater awareness of God's love.
"Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children, and live in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us."--Ephesians 5:1-2

When it comes from a place of Love, you can't go far wrong. I was told to examine my motive and intent. If it came from a place of Love, I had my God's blessing. If I was coming from a place of want and need, I am not God centered, I am looking for something, I have lost the connection and have a hole in my Soul.
