Default Responsible

Responsible

Employer to applicant: "In this job we need someone who is
responsible."

Applicant: "I'm the one you want. On my last job, every time
anything went wrong, they said I was responsible."

LOL! Got the same response. I was called secretary, then office manager, but in truth I was a Girl Friday. I was suppose to be responsible for other people's and my own thoughts and actions.

i.e. My boss said he gave me a file. I said, "No you didn't!" He said, "Yes I did, how can you find anything on this desk, it has to be here somewhere?" I said, "If you had given it to me, I would have remembered." I found the file on top of a file cabinet, it hadn't reached my desk. My desk looked like a mess, but I could find anything you asked for. Often found I had to deal with some small things in order to make room and time for the big things, or nothing got done on time.

As my disease increased, the abilities were slipping away and the addict who use to type 65 wpm was typing 40. When I went back to school in recovery, I was 59 years old and typed 75 wpm.

Life can be funny some times. It helps to laugh at yourself.
