Default Greater than All

God's Word For Today

Greater than All

Read John 10:1 through 11:57

Colton ran his calloused hands through his hair. He stood on his front porch, looking at his property. The grass was high. The fence needed paint. Working day and night left little time for upkeep. Now, facing foreclosure, he wondered if all the long nights were worth it. The economy was his enemy. He was tired of struggling, tired of the phone calls from creditors, and tired of being away from his family at night.

Releasing a heavy sigh, Colton knelt and began expressing his worries to God. He knew God would never leave him. Through his tears, Colton received a most precious reminder from the Lord.

“My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand” (John 10:29).

God: Greater than all! Greater than my fears, thought Colton. Greater than my creditors. He smiled. My security is in Him. Colton stood and wiped his face. He sighed at the thought of losing his home. But, remembering that God is greater than all, Colton knew he would endure, no matter the outcome.

Thought for Today: God is greater than all!

Quicklook: John 10:25–29
