My name is Roxie and my boyfriend is addicted to Narcotics. I'm here looking for support and information on how to help him . He is trying to get off benzos and opiates by taking Suboxone and other medication that I forgot. Anyway nice to meet you all

Welcome to the site Roxie, thanks for signing in and saying hello. When I Googled the medication you listed, it said that it didn't work for opiates. Does he go to NA or any 12 Step programs? Do you have Al-Anon or Nar-Anon in your area?

My father was an alcoholic. My mother died as a result of her eating disorder. I was married to two abusive husbands, one a sex addict (my label) and the other an alcoholic. My son is a self admitted alcoholic/addict and I am a recovering alcoholic/addict who has went to AA for her denial, to NA for identification, and to Al-Anon to find herself.

There is a lot of recovery material here, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
