Default Topic of the week, Words that begin with "N"

N is for Newcomer. For a new perspective, go to a meeting and look at it from the perspective of a newcomer.

Never think you got it made, you are only an arms length away from that next fix no matter what form it takes, and if you don't have that spiritual fitness, you disease will say, "Don't worry, this time it will be different. You don't have a problem, I am your friend NOT your enemy.

The longer I stayed sober, the more I realized that I knew nothing. It is just for today and how my God reveals Himself to me in today. If I don't invite Him/Her into my life, then I may forget to go looking for my God.

SOMETIMES WE HAVE TO GIVE A FRIEND A PIGGY BACK RIDE! IT'S CALLED, BEING OF SERVICE.

N is for Now. Live in the now! The past is gone, you can't change it but you can heal from it. The future hasn't got here. Tomorrow never comes, it is always today.

They never put off what you can do in today. Most times that is true, it just so happens now is not the right time, and it is scheduled for another today.

N is for Neurotic. Open your mind, take the journey to your heart, and when you get there, open it too. Our disease for the most part, neurotic, paranoid, and we had anxiety and several mental disorders. They don't always take a pill to fix, the 12 Steps are applicable.

Open to new concepts and ideas, God works in mysterious ways, His wonder to preform.

This angel picture will change daily.

N is for Nuts. I thought I was going nuts and I believed that I belonged in an insane asylum. I still think I am nuts on certain days, especially when I am doing Topic for the Week instead of the ABCs, and mix Os and Ps, with the Ns.

It is a nice kind of nuts today, not the insanity of when I was using.

Liked this, I was the oldest, 3 and 4 years older than my sisters. Nothing I did was right, I had to set an example for them and if they did wrong, it was all my fault. It drove me nuts at a very early age.

N is for Nice. Nice was a word I hated. Who wanted to be just nice? Yet in recovery, I had to learn to be a nice person. I had to give myself permission to heal and change the old ways of thinking to something that was nurturing and loving to myself so I can pass it on to others.

Never give up. That is the message God is giving me today. Never give up because up past failures. Never give up because you are experiencing current trials. Never give up today. God is with you, so who can be against you? Never give up today. His strength will carry you. Never give up and never pick up, again!

N is for Nasty. Did you get up this morning and take your nasty pill? Did you get up this morning and put your life into God's care and ask Him to take all the nasties away?

Try not to do nasty in today. I don't want to be and live that way any more.

Turn your nasties over to the God of your understanding.

N is for Necessary. The program of the 12 Step Fellowships were necessary for my recovery. Without them I wouldn't have stayed clean and sober.

It was necessary to have a home group, a sponsor, get involved in service, and work the Steps and apply them and the Traditions to my life.

When I did that, my life had purpose and I was necessary, no longer redundant.
