It is so easy for anyone, even those of us in recovery to become distracted from living our life to its true purpose, that of being a spiritual being living in an unknown place. Life is full of so much uncertainty and unknowns for all of us that this causes all of us to reach for something that will help us make sense out of this life and us living it, or we can choose to be distracted from all this as a means to find comfort in not knowing, and lots of people do. For all of us in recovery we all have chosen the way of distraction, and all of us have found it to be lacking in what we really needed in order for us to survive not knowing in this life. What attracts all of us to recovery whether we know it or not is the fact that recovery does not distract from our true purpose here on earth that we all have. Anyone can find all the comfort that we'll ever need by living our life by the principles that go into making recovery what it is, a way to live and enjoy our life without us having to know, because no one really does know, and we're all okay with this now, not knowing because we all have found that by being in recovery that we really don't need to know in order for us to be able to live our life to it's true purpose. Life has and will always be about faith and us learning how to live by it, and recovery gives that to all of us.
