No one ever sets out in life to find recovery, it finds us. We'll all get as many chances as it takes for us to get it, but it only comes to us but once, and doesn't come to all of us who have this problem, only a select few. It's still true to say today that even with recovery, most of us who have this problem still die from having it, and only a few of us will be given the chance for something other than this. We will be the only ones with our problem who will ever know anything different than what it's like to die from having this problem. Even after recovery comes to us and we're given the chance to get it, we're all free to turn our backs on our one and only chance at it, and many of us do. Just a few of us who have this problem will ever get recovery, but at least some of us were given that chance unlike many of us who will never get the chance for recovery. While we that are in recovery seem to be a small number indeed of all who have this problem, ever fewer than us are those who have been to find a way not to die from this problem on their own. Once all of us find this out, none of us who have this problem will ever be the same from now on, now that we know this.
