What a privilege it is for all of us who are in recovery and to be alive, not because any of us are any more deserving of this than anyone else is, just because all of us had given up our right to want to be alive. What is so very special for all of us who are in recovery and makes being in recovery so special for us is we all had given up on life none of us wanted to be alive, all of us wanted to die. And only for those of us who have ever done this will we be able to know and understand just how very special of a privilege it is to be alive. Had we all had gotten our way none of us would be here now, but that's not what's happened to any of us who are in recovery. Something else has, and none of us can really explain exactly what that is, but we all can see the result of this, we're all still here and alive like none of us wanted to be, and more so than any of us ever were before. We all have recovery to thank for this, because without it, we'd all be dead. Not all of us will get this privilege to be alive and to be in recovery, but for those of us who do we all know one thing just how very special it really is for all of us to have this privilege.
