Being in Recovery has an admission price that we all have to pay, or won't be willing to pay. The choice is always ours to make, and has been left up to each of us to make for ourselves. It's our own admission for all of us who are in recovery of being powerless over something. This is the common ground we all stand on in recovery and the price we all have to pay to be here. Because of us being willing to pay this price we're now given a process by which we're all able to accept and live by this simple truth about ourselves from recovery. What's interesting for all of us who have reached having to being in recovery is as we progress through this process we see everyone, even those that can't identify with us, those who are not in recovery, are equally powerless over something as well, and that most haven't found any means by which they are able to accept some of these simple truths, like that none of us gets to live forever, and eventually we all perish. The price we all paid to get here in recovery covers a lot more than any of us knew that it would when we paid it. It has allowed all of us to be able to accept being powerless over all things, which is way more than any of us knew we were paying for, when we all paid that admission price for being in recovery.
