Default STEPS TO LETTING GO...

Quote:
1) Let go of the baggage that weighs us down

2) Close that Chapter- you can't read two chapters at the same time. Close that chapter and let it go.

3) Quit talking about the past - Every time we talk about the problem or pain, we take what is in the past and bring it back into our present day! God forgets our past...so should we.

4) Let go of the shame - Forgiveness another Discussion Later

5) Enjoy today! Stop living in the past and the future.

6) Walk by faith and not by sight - we must believe without any doubt in our hearts.

7) Believe and understand the power of forgiveness. This is a BIG ONE!

Looking back on my own life, I can see so much to be grateful for.

One of the biggest for me was that my son had his own Higher Power and the biggest awareness was that I wasn't it. His recovery had to be found and worked his way and I had to detach and allow him to find his own way.

Knowing I was as powerless over his disease as I was over my own was another awakening that allowed me a lot of peace of mind. As I heard someone say, I will turn him over my Higher Power who hopefully will in turn, speak to his Higher Power, so he may find his own way.

"Put as much energy into letting go as you have into trying to control. You'll get much better results."

- Melody Beattie

A pessimist sees only the dark side of the clouds, and mopes; a philosopher sees both sides, and shrugs; an optimist doesn't see the clouds at all - he's walking on them.

~Leonard Louis Levinson

Courage is fear that has said its prayers.

Things turn out the best for those who make the best of the way things turn out. (E.F.)
