Default Awaken to Love

Awakening
I awaken to Love.

Feeling alone or unloved can seem like living in a cold, dark cave. Awakening to the ever-present light and love of God brings us out of that empty place into the brilliant, warm sunlight.

In prayer, I relax into a willingness to accept the love of God. I pray: I let go of any thought of being unlovable or unworthy. I accept the love of God. I express the love of God. I am the love of God!

Where there was once darkness, a light now shines. These words of truth awaken in me the realization of a love I do not need to earn, a love that has been with me always. I am, have been, and always will be enfolded in divine love, just for being me. I am worthy. I am loved!
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.—1 John 4:16

I was told when I came into recovery, "God doesn't make no junk!" Never forgot those words, even when I was having self-doubt and ugly days, I knew that I was loved.

"He sustains me," a promise God made many times over.
