Default Topic of the week, words that begin with "K"

K is for Kind. Be kind to yourself and others. If you can't show yourself kindness, how can you know how to express it to others in a real way. You have to have it in order to give it away.

Kind of nice for you to join us today. We appreciate your continued support and kindness for making us a part of your journey.

My nights and days kinda get mixed up.

K is for Kink. Do you have a kink in your program? Is your energy flowing, or is it hitting a brick wall. Are you putting a twist in things instead of trying to keep it simple. Have you erected a barrier or put up a dam to stop things from getting in to meet your needs? Is your love unconditional or is it selective and only what You feel is right for your Higher Good?

K is for Kettle. In recovery, we generally found ourselves between the kettle and the deep blue sea. In our old days, we stewed up a mess and found ourselves adding to the pot and made an unholy mess.

In recovery, we can make healthy choices and put good things into the kettle. We can be proud of our achievements as long as we acknowledge that they come from our God, not that Devil we use to worship. Devil spelled backward is Lived. We did not live our life, we lived it by using other people, places and things, instead of going to our God and allow Him to utilize people, places and things to show us a better way to live.

Sorry I was pushing it with this, ran into a blank wall. How is that for a fine kettle of fish?

K is for the Key of Willingness. If I am not willing, then the program doesn't work. The key is willingness to do whatever it takes to recover. If I can't find the key, I turn to my God and pray for the willingness to be willing. This generally unlocks the key, if said with the right motive and intent.

K is for Keep. Keep coming to meetings, to the site, talking to your sponsor and working the Steps.

Keep coming, so you don't have to come back.

K is for Kite. Instead of telling people to go fly a kite, we now go and fly a kite and find joy and connect with out Inner Child.

Be kind to your Inner Child. Give her a treat today.

K is for Keep up the good fight. Our disease is always their, just waiting for us to give up and let it back into our lives.

Keep remembering when, I have no desire to go back there.

K is for Kick. If you picked up a shot of alcohol, I'll give you a good boot in the butt.

Kick the habit, kick the old ways of living, and live in today clean and sober. The programs offer freedom from active addiction.
