Icon18 My name is Doreen and I am an alcoholic

Hi. My name is Doreen and I am a grateful alcoholic today. I have been sober since 10/30/2011. I am 52 years old and drank most of my life, for black out drunk at 12, drank on and off for the next 20 years, heavily from my early 30's to the time I got sober almost 3 years ago. I am sure my story is similar to most, loss of family, friends, and many jobs over the years, I was in and out of AA for almost a decade before I finally "got it" and got sober when I begged for God's help and intervention. By the grace of God only I am here to today.
Nice to be here and looking forward to getting to know you.
