Default Overwhelmed In Crisis

OVERWHELMED IN CRISIS

It seems like when we are struggling and don’t know what to do, we reach out to whatever quick fix we can find to help us cope. That is the time when the devil is lurking around trying to lead us down his path of destruction. When we are overwhelmed with a crisis, we need God. In fact, before we even get overwhelmed, we need Him. When we stay grounded in His word every day, those times of crisis will not be so overwhelming because we will be strong in our faith in God.

1 Peter 5:8-9 “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us to stay alert and watch out for what the devil may lead us to do in times of crisis. Help us stay grounded in Your word and stand firm against him and be strong in our faith. Help us to go to other godly believers who will encourage us and support us. And, most of all, to remain in You so we don’t drift away from Your truth. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

The devil is waiting on us to have struggles so he can tempt us to be overwhelmed and take his easy way out.

God can help us stay grounded in His word when we dedicate time to read His word and talk with Him.

Preparation is key when it comes to being ready for times of crisis. And the best preparation is to study and know God’s word.

We need to stay alert and watch out for temptations that can lead us astray in times of crisis.

When we stay grounded in God’s word every day, He will help us not to be overwhelmed in times of crisis.

Hebrews 2:1 “So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.” (NLT)

Focus: Prepare now for the next crisis in your life by studying and learning more about how God can help.
