Default The worth of work

The worth of work
"PUT GOD FIRST, AND HE WILL?CROWN YOUR EFFORTS WITH SUCCESS."
PROVERBS 3:6 TLB

We all come at life differently. Partly this is down to the fact that we all have different types of parents. Some parents push achievement whatever the cost, others take a 'just try your best' approach and sadly some just don't seem remotely bothered. Whatever your parents are like, it will affect how you view the worth of work. Maybe you think it's not worth trying as you'll just fail anyway, or maybe you really feel you've something to prove. It's true that if you really want something you have to work for it, but at the same time that thing you've worked so hard may not really satisfy you. Imagine training your entire life to win an Olympic gold. Every day training, practicing, dreaming. When the day comes and goes and the medal is put on the shelf, now what? Your name may be written in a book but 4 years later, it's someone else's turn.
Ultimately, all that really matters is doing what God wants you to do and being who He created you to be. If He wants to use an Olympic medal to bring Him glory then great! But if you impact lives by doing something slightly less glamorous than you hoped, you should be satisfied because there's no better place to be than at the center of God's plan for you! So by all means work hard, but do it for the right reasons! Word4U2Day
