Today’s Scripture: I Peter 2:25 (NLT): Once you were wandering like lost sheep. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls.

Today’s Thought: Isn’t it wonderful to know that God guards our soul? This doesn’t mean we will not have trials. It does mean, however, that we have someone to lean on when life gets almost unbearable. He will never leave nor forsake you (see John 14:16) and will never put on you more then you can bear.

Today’s Prayer: Lord, thank You for guarding my soul & never leaving my. I pray that You help me put my full trust in You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!

Today’s Scripture: I Peter 3:9 (NLT): Don't repay evil for evil. Don't retaliate when people say unkind things about you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God wants you to do, and he will bless you for it.

Today’s Thought: This is a hard lesson to learn but vital for all to learn. Next time someone speaks ill about you, bless them. You do not want resentment to build up in your heart.

Today’s Prayer: Lord, help me bless those who curse me. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!

Psalm 144:3-4 — Lord, what are human beings that you care for them,
mere mortals that you think of them?
They are like a breath;
their days are like a fleeting shadow.

Life is short. David reminds us that it is "like a breath" and that our "days are like a fleeting shadow." James says that our lives are "a mist that appears for a while and then vanishes" (James 4:1). Because life is short, we should live for God while we have the time. Don't waste your life by selecting an inferior purpose that has no lasting value. Live for God — he alone can make your life worthwhile, purposeful and meaningful.

Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.

Today’s Scripture: I Peter 3:13-14 (NLT): Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don't be afraid and don't worry.

Today’s Thought: God will take care of His children. However, when your circumstances seem impossible to overcome it is extremely difficult to trust Him. It is in these moments where we grow the most though!

Today’s Prayer: Lord, I thank You for always meeting my needs. I ask that You help me trust You always! In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!

Proverbs 3:27-28 — Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to act.
Do not say to your neighbor,
"Come back tomorrow and I'll give it to you" —
when you already have it with you.

Delaying to do good is inconsiderate and unfair, whether it is repaying a loan, returning a tool or fulfilling a promise. Withholding destroys trust and creates a great inconvenience. Be as eager to do good as you are to have good done to you.

1) I can give up, thus giving doubt a chance to destroy my faith;
2) I can strengthen my faith by patiently waiting on the Lord for help!

Suffering for Doing Good

Because Jesus is your constant companion, there should be a lightness to your step that is observable to others. Do not be weighted down with problems and unresolved issues, for He is your burden-bearer. In the world you will have trials and distress, but don't let them get you down. Jesus has conquered the world and deprived it of power to harm you. In Him you may have confident peace.
