Default A Change In Our Feelings

A CHANGE IN OUR FEELINGS

We cant live based on our feelings because our feelings can change at the drop of a hat. We need to be disciplined and focused by putting our confidence in God who never grows weak or weary and never changes. We need to realize the greatness of God. We are human and dont do right because we cant fully understand Gods greatness. We need to stop being self-absorbed and start being God-centered. God is all we need and we should give Him all we have. We should turn over our finances, our career, our health...everything to Him to handle and stop basing our actions and decisions on our feelings.

Isaiah 40:28-29 Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. (NLT)

Dear Lord, sometimes we take actions and say things based on our selfish feelings. We get upset with someone who hurts us. We get angry with someone who doesnt do what we think they should. We get down and out when we feel lonely. Our own feelings lead us to the things of the world which will eventually harm us and others. Remind us to stay focused on You and truly think about how great You are and how much You want to help us when our feelings try to get us down. In Jesus name. Amen.

We need to be sure God is in the center of our lives so we focus on Him when our feelings get out of whack.

Putting ourselves first is a sure fire way to move away from God and keep us from helping others.

Our feelings can be controlled when we put God first and ourselves last.

We should discipline ourselves so when our feelings get out of whack we immediately know to turn to God.

God is greater than our feelings and can help us move away from them and move closer to Him.

1 John 3:20 Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything. (NLT)

Focus: God can help us move past our feelings and be confident in Him so we can do what is right.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
