As an Adult Child of an Alcoholic and a mother who didn't know about Overeaters Anonymous, I had a lot of issues to to deal with concerning my family.

Didn't mean I didn't love them, I just did't like some of their actions and words they chose to say to me. i.e. It is all your fault, look at what you made me do, if you were not so stupid...!"

I just made a post a few minutes ago in General Recovery about memories. It is good to focus on the positive, but if I hadn't let go of the hurt, rejection, abandonment, anger, hurt and other negative feelings, I would not have been able to love, and I would have continued to block myself off from God's Love.
