But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation. 1 Thessalonians 5:8 NLT

We believers are those “who live in the light” for Christ is the Light of the world (John 9:5) therefore we who are in Christ are also lights to the world we live in (Matthew 5:14) for Christ’s light shines through us. As we walk in the world as light bearers we need to keep a clear head, focused on our mission, grounded in the truth , therefore our head (mind) needs to be protected by the Helmet of Salvation which we received in Christ. If we are confident of our salvation we can stand firmly against the enemies lies and temptations. So let’s be sure to wear the Armor of God’s faith and love so we will be protected light bearers shining forth Christ’s light confidently to the world around us.

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for your Armor of faith and love and the Helmet of Salvation which protects my mind from the darts of doubt the enemy loves to hurl. Thank You that I can stand firm in Your Armor and shine for Christ’s light for all to see and bring You glory by doing so. God You are so good, I am so glad to be able to serve You daily as an equipped soldier in full armor standing firm against “…principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12.

Today: In this dark world, confidently stand firm wearing the Helmet of Salvation, shining forth the light of Christ to all you meet.
Be ready and willing to share the truth of the gospel with those God might bring across your path today.
