Fortunately

There are some who are unfortunate, they are not at fault, they seem to have been born that way, they are incapable of being honest with themselves. A lot of us are way more fortunate than we know, after being in recovery for a while we begin to realize this, especially when we start to understand there are some who have the same problem as we do and through no fault of their own they can not be helped. And as awful as it may seem if we were to be one of them, there is still something far worse than that, and it's those who are able to be helped, but don't want the help, and there are way more of us who are like that, then there are of those who are the unfortunate ones. Recovery is only for those who want it, and for everyone else who has this same problem as we do, we in recovery feel the greatest sympathy for because we know what it's like to have it. We hear it said, but for the grace of god there go I and then really know what that means, we are fortunate indeed.
