The Daily Grind
THE DAILY GRIND
So often. So many times. So quickly. We get into a routine with our daily habits. We get up and do the same things. We go the same places. We talk to the same people. After a while, the routine either gets boring or it gets to where we just aren’t thinking any more. Soon we become lax about what we do and we forget what is important in life. We take things for granted and miss opportunities because we are so focused on our routines. It’s time we think outside of our routine and make sure we are living for God and not stuck in the comfort of our routines. Ephesians 5:15-16 “So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.” (NLT) Dear Lord, thank You for this day. This new day. This new opportunity. This gift from You. Help us today to recognize the difference of the day. Help us to live for You today and look for those in need. Help us to live for You today and be grateful for all that is around us. Help us to live for You today and get out of our routines and get into doing Your will. In Jesus’ name. Amen. When we get in a rut, it is possible to get out with self-control to make a change. With God’s help, we can get out of our routines and look for new ways to help others. Every day is different. Every opportunity in life is new. Let’s stop focusing on our routine and look for ways to help others. We need to be sure our routines are not pulling us away from God. To be careful about how we live requires we stay focused on God. Ephesians 5:10 “Carefully determine what pleases the Lord.” (NLT) Focus: Think about what you do all day every day and if it is pleasing to the Lord. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_pu...d=FRANCESLUCAS
