"You yourselves know that I have worked with these hands of mine to provide everything that my companions and I have needed. I have shown you all things that by working hard in this way we must help the weak, remembering the words that the Lord Jesus himself said, 'There is more happiness in giving than in receiving.'" --Acts 20:34-35 Whatever gifts we have in our lives are given not just for ourselves, but also for the sake of others. Our personal gifts and talents tend to lose their meaning if they are not in some way shared with others and used for their good. One of our deepest joys is to know that our lives have borne fruit for those whose lives we have been privileged to touch. Through the sharing of our gifts with others, we discover that major benefits come to ourselves. Sharing with others has a strong effect on our own happiness and sense of fulfillment. It gives meaning to the present and hope for our future, because if we have shared with others, we shall not stand empty handed before God. Just as we have received much from others, so we need to share generously from what we have received. Thank you, Lord, for the richness of the blessings you have given to me, and for all the kindness I have received from others. I am sorry for all those times when I haven't shared my blessings or returned the kindness given to me. Today, I will look for a way to give to others from the gifts that I have received. Focus Your Day
