I honor and celebrate the Christ within—every moment of my life.

During the holiday season, there are myriad sights and sounds that delight my senses and stir up my joy. Yet I know they are just outer experiences that come and go. True and everlasting joy comes when I honor and celebrate the Christ within every moment of my life.

I embrace both the spiritual meaning and the outer demonstrations of Christmas as I interact with my loved ones. I follow Jesus’ example. In the Gospels we read that he enjoyed socializing with people as well as spending time alone in prayer and silence. Day by day, he was masterful in balancing inner and outer experiences.

I, too, balance the cheerfulness of the season with the joy of the Divine Presence within me.
In your presence there is fullness of joy.—Psalm 16:11
