Coming This Far

All of us who have made it this far only have a little further to go before we all find what we've all been looking for, and what keeps us all going is seeing those of us who will never be able to get as far as we are now. They're all around us and we'll see them everyday, but we're not one of them now because of us choosing to be in recovery unless we want to be and none of us have to be as long as we're all willing to keep on going the way we are. For all of us who are in recovery this battle never ends, and we've all learned that if we can stop fighting this battle things will get better for us. Those that go on fighting never win and that's a fact for all of us whether we're in recovery or not. Sometimes we'll all be tempted into wanting to join in fighting this battle once again thinking now that we know so much we can now win, this never happens for any of us, even those of us who have tried this know this is not true. It is only by surrendering that any of us will ever be given the chance to find what it is we've all been looking for, that's here in recovery, and we'll all be sure to find it if we're willing to go a little further, and then we'll all know this to be true.
