Paul said in Ephesians 6:11-13 “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

Today, we will focus on the full suit of Armor–the Belt, Breastplate, Shield, Shoes, Helmet and Sword. This is what we believers are to put on and wear daily as we walk through this world.

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—

Prayer: Father God, You have told us what we as believers can expect to face daily in this world and You have instructed us how we might be able to resist the enemy’s attacks and stand firm in our faith. So I pray now that You will give us the strength to suit up in Your Armor every morning so we might be prepared for whatever tries to come against us during the day, and at night, when we sleep, I pray Your protection over us as well, for I know You are always with us and that You never slumber nor sleep. Thank You Father God. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
