Holding On
It's going to be rough for any one who tries to come into recovery and that's not because recovery itself is rough, but because of how difficult it is for what we all have to go through to get it. What this amounts to is what is known as letting go, and for all of us who are trying to get into recovery essentially it means that we'll have to let go of life as we all know it and the way we've all been living our life. This is tough for anyone to do but is actually happening all the time for everyone, and as we move through life we all come to find out that this is true and that it has been happening from the beginning of all of our lives. We'd all like to think that we all have some control over our life when the evidence is to the contrary that we really do. What all of us have learned in this life is to hold on while we're all going through all the things that we all go through, that things will always be better for us if we do and that most likely things don't always turn out the way any of us thought they should. Another thing we've all learned is kicking and screaming our way through life doesn't work for anyone who does, and that recovery does work for anyone who lets it. All that any one of us has to do for us to get into recovery is to hold on while we're all allowing for it to become a way of life for us, because for some reason for all of us, it is meant for us to have recovery as a way for us to live.
