The Beginning
When does recovery start for all of us is something we all will see differently as we progress in our recovery. For most of us it starts long before any of us knew it had. At the time all that we knew is we could sense something else had taken over control of what was going on with us. We all welcome and resist this at the same time. We all wanted something different for ourselves and for something to change, and when it does rarely are any of us really ever ready for this when this happens. In awe of this as most of us are when it occurs all of us still have to make a decision to either go with this or continue as things are for us. This is truly when most of us think our recovery begins. Like what was once said to one of us a long time ago " I don't know what has happened to you, but you are far better off than you were before, I suggest you go with it"
