Step One

Step one is an awareness of where we are and a gateway to where we want to be and that's free from what's killing us. If we're not able to take this step it means we 'll have to return to what brought us to this step until we decide we had enough, hopefully that will be before it kills us. Some of us won't make it back to step one, others die accidentally as a direct result of their illness while trying to decide if they wanted to do something about it. Throwing in the towel on a fight we can't ever win is the smartest thing we'll ever do. Step one is to believe that, or we can go to find that out from ourselves. Good luck in trying to find someone who will say they were able to beat this thing on their own. We surrender to win and to be free of the certain outcome that awaits us all if we don't.
