Just For Today – Day 8 - Putting Off Hopelessness by SGLY Ministry

Just for Today I will put off all…HOPELESSNESS
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV)

Today’s Thought:
Hopelessness is not something that a believer in Christ should experience, for as believers we always have hope to cling to. God is our Hope.

Ephesians 2:12,13 (NLT) says before we believed and received Christ we were without hope, far away from God, for “You lived in this world without God and without hope. But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.”

So, as believers we need to put off any hopelessness that the enemy may try to put upon us and cling to the hope we have been given in Christ.

Today’s Prayer:
Just for Today Dear Lord, with Your help, I will put off all feelings of hopelessness for I see in Your word that in Christ I have hope and I need to cling to that as I trust in You, who are so faithful to do for me as You have promised.
Just for Today, Lord, I will not give in to any feelings of hopelessness because in You I have a hope that is both sure and steadfast. You are the anchor of my soul, You keep me from drifting, You direct my course daily.
Help me to always lay hold of this hope that You have set before me to continue in it each day. Help me to focus on the hope that is in You!

Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me.
All day long I put my hope in you. Psalm 25:5 (NLT)
