Have posted before about my sponsee who said she was on her way to mass, would I like to say a prayer for her.

At one time, I said, "Don't bother, I have a direct line." I had a very low opinion of the Catholic Church.

As time went on, I replied, "If you want to, go for it, I need all the prayer I can get."

In today, "I believe a thought is a prayer," and instant message to my God.

The sad thing was the sponsee was willing to give up drink but not her drugs. She is back drinking, not sure if she is still going to mass or not. She wasn't willing to go to meetings, but she wouldn't give up mass. In today, I am willing to go to meetings, but don't often get there, so I am grateful for this site.
