Coca-Cola was my first addiction, it was forbidden and so I wanted it more. I was
14 and didn't have any until I was 17 and working and earning my own money. Then at 21, my Brand was Crown Royal with some Coca-Cola, and I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Thus started my road into hell, and I didn't make it into recovery until I was 49, and didn't give up Coco-Cola until I found out I didn't like the taste of coffee without cigarettes (DuMaurier), and it wasn't until I found out that I was diabetic that the Coca-Cola had to go, because I found that the chemicals in the Diet Coke were more harmful than the sugar. I was very much a brand name shopper, it wasn't until I learned to budget and have money at the end of the month, that I accepted No Name and the $1. Store variety. Vanity and pride goes before a fall.
