Learn To Stay Healthy
LEARN TO STAY HEALTHY
Probably the greatest issue most of us deal with is our health. Not necessarily our physical health. That is part of it. But also our mental and spiritual health. What we think, what we do and what we put into our bodies affect our all over health. For example, when we don’t get enough sleep it affects our physical health. When we don’t keep positive thoughts in our minds, it affects our mental health. When we don’t stay in God’s word, it affects our spiritual health. Even when we don’t treat others right, it affect us as well. God wants us to take care of our health in all areas of our lives so we are living in obedience to Him. It begins with our thoughts, our attitudes and our willingness to change. SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 4:31 “Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.” (NLT) ACTION STEPS: 1. List ways you have had wrong thoughts. 2. Write down words you need to eliminate from your vocabulary. 3. Get into God’s word and fill your mind with it. 4. Pray asking God to help you have a healthy mind, body and spirit. PRAYER: Dear Lord, we want to be more aware of what we do to our bodies so we are living in a way that is pleasing to You as well as taking care of the bodies You gave to us. Remind us our thoughts should be pleasing to You, our words should be encouraging to others and the things we put into our bodies should help us and not hurt us. We want to learn to be healthy in mind, body and spirit. Help us today, Lord. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen. REMEMBER: Proverbs 14:30 “A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body; jealousy is like cancer in the bones.” (NLT) Proverbs 15:30 “A cheerful look brings joy to the heart; good news makes for good health.” (NLT) Ecclesiastes 11:10a “So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy.” (NLT) We see in God’s word where Jesus healed many people. We should take care of ourselves so we will be healthy and well. Even the words we speak and think have an effect on our bodies. FOCUS: Proverbs 16:24 “Kind words are like honey—sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.” (NLT) Let’s be sure all we say and do help us and others to be healthy. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_pu...log_id=6379784
