Thought for the Day

"There are times when you feel rejected and alone. These feelings can build up until you begin to truly believe them and really start to feel down. You are never alone. God has made you a promise: He would never leave you or forsake you (Heb 13:5). God IS with you all of the time. You just need to learn to recognize Him working in your life."

Today's Word

"At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them. But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion's mouth." (2 Timothy 4:16-17 NIV)

Today's Prayer

Heavenly Father, at times I feel so alone. It seems as if friends have drawn away and nothing is going right. It is during these times that I need to remember that You are always with me and my troubles are only temporary. I need to try to remember to try to take the emotion out of my view and look objectively at my situation. Sometimes, I get myself so worked up that I make things seem worse than they really are. I know if I am patient and continue to with You, this storm will eventually subside. Amen.
