P-O-W-E-R Rewards: Day 30
P-O-W-E-R Rewards: Day 30 by SGLY Ministry
Today’s Scripture: “For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.” –Jesus [Matthew 16:27 NKJV] Today’s Thought: The Bible has a lot to say about rewards. Jesus spoke frequently about rewards. The word rewards is defined in scripture as wages or dues paid for work. Rewards have nothing to do with our salvation. Salvation cannot be earned, it is a gift from God. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, Ephesians 2:8 NKJV However, we will receive rewards for doing the good works that God has prepared for us to do. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 NKJV Jesus said: “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.” Revelation 22:12 NKJV Keep in mind though, that we should not be working to earn rewards, but to bring God glory, for as we do so, God sees our hearts, and rewards us richly as we purpose to do His work for no other reason than to bring Him glory. Today’s Prayer: Dear God, Thank You for giving me the greatest gift I could ever receive—the gift of salvation! I am so blessed to be Your child and to know that someday I will be living with You forever in heaven. To me, You giving me that gift would be more than enough, but Jesus says there is more, He says You also have rewards for me! I don’t exactly know what that means God, but I am sure it is something wonderful and I do want to receive whatever You might have for me. Therefore, I will be active to do the good works that You have prepared for me to do, only because I want to bring You the glory that You deserve, by being active in my faith and showing forth Your light for others to see. Then, if I am rewarded for doing that, it will be such a plus! Thank You God! I am so in awe of You! You are such an amazing, generous, loving God, and I am so blessed to be in Your service! Today’s Action: Rewards: Pray and ask God to show you daily the good works He has prepared for you to do for Him. Do good works He has prepared for you to do to bring Him glory. Live and walk in the P-O-W-E-R of the Holy Spirit daily
