Precious Promises – Day 8 by SGLY Ministry

Today’s Promise: DISAPPOINTMENT
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 (NKJV)

Today’s Thought:
All things (good and bad) work together for good to those:
Who love God,
Who are the called according to His purpose.

So, based on this scripture, we should not be disappointed when our plans don’t work out, for God is in control and He will work all things out for our good according to His purpose.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways”
says the Lord. Isaiah 55:8 (NKJV)

Today’s Prayer:
Dear Lord,
I want to claim this Promise, so matter what happens in my life I will just focus on loving You, and trusting You because I know You will work everything out for my good according to Your purpose.

May I have the faith of King Jehoshaphat,
who stood before the people of Judah and Jerusalem when they were facing war with many mighty armies, and he prayed:
“Lord, we do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.” 2 Chron.20:12(NIV)

I pray I will remember to do the same when I am facing difficult circumstances in my life. I pray that I will not become disappointed but that I will place all my trust in You Lord, to work everything out for good. Thank You, Lord. Amen.

Isaiah 41:10 'Don't be afraid, for I am with you.'

- This is a promise from the Lord to you.
- He is the great 'promise maker' and His word never fails.
- The greatest joy is the fact that we can know His companionship in our lives.
- Because He is with us and because of His promise, we don't need to fear.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your promise and Your eternal companionship in my life. You are with me and therefore I will not fear. Amen.

"Fear is an enemy that tries to keep us from reaching our full God given potential. There are times we know what we are afraid of and times we don't. In either case, God is our protector. With Him we can conquer any fear that we might face. At the first sign of fear, draw close to him and let His love shield you, strengthen you, and see you through."

Today's Prayer

Father, at times anxiety and fear creep into my life and weigh heavily on me like a wet blanket. It is during these times that I need Your strength to, sometimes, just make it through the day. With You, I know nothing can defeat me. With You, I know I will make it through today. Amen
