Precious Promises – Day 11 SGLY Ministry
Today’s Promise: FORGIVENESS “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. “1 John 1:9 (NKJV) Today’s Thought: “For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.” Psalm 86:5 (NKJV) The Lord promises us forgiveness, all we have to do is call upon Him and confess. He is ready to forgive. He is abundant in mercy. He is faithful, just and good. Remember these promises, claim them, confess and be cleansed. Today’s Prayer: Dear God, As I come to You daily and confess my sins, anything that You see in me that is not of You, forgive me for it and cleanse me. I confess, I repent and I trust that You are faithful and just to forgive me and to cleanse me of all unrighteousness. Lord, I am so glad that Your mercy is abundant and that You are so good and ready to forgive me and all those who call upon You. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus name I pray. Amen ********** Isaiah 43:18 'Forget what happened in the past, and do not dwell on events from long ago.' - 'Letting go' can be such a difficult dimension of life. - Perhaps we fear the loss of control that comes when we let go? - But the Lord instructs us to let go of things, especially the past. - The truth is that He has better things for us in the future. PRAYER: Lord, today I choose to let go and release those things that I have held on to. You know what is best for me and You know the wonderful things that You have planned and prepared for me. Amen. Kind Regards Pastor Andrew & Vanessa Roebert ********** Romans 8:39 'No power in the sky above or in the earth below - indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God.' - How great is our Heavenly Father's love for us. - His love is vast and beyond all ability to measure. - Nothing has the power or the ability to separate us from His love for us. - We just need to open our hearts and receive His love for ourselves. PRAYER: Lord, today I stretch out my arms and I receive Your great love for me. I declare that I am loved by my Savior and Lord and nothing can separate me from this love. Amen. Kind Regards Pastor Andrew & Vanessa Roebert ********** Today’s Scripture: "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." (Isaiah 43:19, NIV) Embracing Change Change is one of the most difficult things for people to face; however, change is inevitable. In fact, Mark Twain once said, “The only person who likes change is a wet baby.” One reason people don’t like change is because they get comfortable with where they are in life. They get used to their friends, job or the place they live. And even if it’s not perfect, they accept it simply because it’s familiar. However, when we are not willing to change, we get stuck in life holding on to what God did in the past instead of growing and moving forward into what God wants to do in the future. Today, I encourage you to be open to the new things God has in store for you. Always remember that just because God has blessed you where you are doesn’t mean you can just sit back and settle there. God wants to do something new in you and through you. He wants to see you grow, prosper and flourish. Get ready and keep your heart focused on Him. Embrace change and see the blessing God has in store for you! A Prayer for Today: "Father, I humbly come before You and thank You for all You’ve done in my life. I thank You for all You will do in my future. I submit myself to You and choose to embrace change knowing that You always have good things in store in Jesus’ name. Amen." Joel Osteen ********** Overcome Evil with Good Do not let yourself be overcome by evil, but overcome (master) evil with good. —Romans 12:21 We must not use our personal problems as an excuse to be grouchy and unloving with other people. Always remember that we overcome evil with good. This is why it is so important that we trust God, and while we are waiting on a change in our circumstances, we should remember to do good, do good, and do good! In the Bible, the apostle Paul shares how even in times when he was suffering, he believed that God would take care of those things that he entrusted to Him (see 2 Timothy 1:12-14). We can be grateful that, like Paul, we are called to give our problems to God and refuse to worry. A simple formula for victory is trust God, don’t worry, do good, and keep meditating on and confessing God’s Word, because God’s Word is the weapon we have been given by which we can overcome evil and do good. Prayer of Thanks: Thank You, Father, that no matter what I may be going through, You give me opportunities to do good for those around me. I don’t have to focus on myself; I can choose to help others. Let me be an encouragement and a blessing to someone today. From the book The Power of Being Thankful by Joyce Meyer.
