JOB SECURITY

We hear of job layoffs almost every week. Some of us have been affected by layoffs due to companies downsizing, having shortage of money or even going under. It's certain we can't put a whole lot of faith in the fact we will have jobs tomorrow because we just never know. Job security isn't a reality at all. Even the best companies make changes due to the economy or other factors that affect us. However, we can always put our hope in God knowing there is security in listening to, obeying and trusting in Him.

Proverbs 1:33 "But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm." (NLT)

Dear Lord, we put our hope and trust in You with our jobs. We know things don't always work out as we plan on the job. However, we do know Your plan is always best. Help us remember when we have insecurity about our jobs there is always security when we trust in You. When things at work seem unsettled, remind us to keep our eyes focused on You. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Job security isn't a reality at all. That is why we need to put our hope and trust in God.

We can't always know we will have a job tomorrow. That is why our hope should always be in God.

When we stay in God's word and have a right relationship with Him, He will keep us on firm foundation.

When we trust in the Lord in all things, He will protect us and keep us secure.

Proverbs 19:23 "Fear of the LORD leads to life, bringing security and protection from harm." (NLT)

Focus: Our jobs may come and go with or without our control, but God will always be the same and He will always be ready to help.
