Precious Promises – Day 12 by SGLY Ministry

Today’s Promise: GUIDANCE
“For this is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide Even to death.” Psalm 48:14 (NKJV)

Today’s Thought:
A Guide is someone who assists a person as they travel or helps them to reach a destination in an unfamiliar area.
A Guide accompanies a person and/or gives directions.
As believers we are not left alone in this world to find our way, for God promises to be our Guide to the end.
He has put His Holy Spirit within us to be our Guide each day.
So, let this Promise be our comfort daily.

Today’s Prayer:
Dear God,
You promise to be my Guide unto the end.
I will cling to this promise daily for You are my God forever and ever,so I know I can trust that You will always be there to lead and direct me.
Thank You, God, that You are always with me, holding me by my right hand and counseling me on the right way to go.
I pray that I will remember this daily as I walk through this world.
In Jesus name I pray. Amen

1 Samuel 16:13 'The Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward.'

- You never know what just one day can bring with it.
- This was one of those days for David and his life was changed forever.
- You never know what God has got planned for you.
- Today could be one of those days, when He steps in and changes things!

PRAYER: Lord, I recognize that You are sovereign and Your timing is always impeccable. I pray that Your hand will rest on me and I ask that Your Spirit will come upon me from this day forward. Amen.

Be Fully Satisfied

Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God. [Growing in grace] they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap [of spiritual vitality] and [rich in the] verdure [of trust, love, and contentment]. —Psalm 92:13–14

Many people pursue possessions and awards to satisfy their inner need for contentment. But we can be fully satisfied in lean times and in times of abundance, whether we abase or abound (See Philippians 4:12), when we learn to enjoy fellowship with the Lord as soon as we wake up.

Before you are fully awake, you can start talking to God. Just thank Him for seeing you through yesterday, and for being with you today. Praise Him for providing for you, and for working out all the situations in your life for your good.

Ask Him to make you aware of His presence all day long. Peace fills your heart when your mind is on the Lord. Nothing is more satisfying than walking with God.

Confronting Fear

Fear is an enemy that seeks to steal our life if we let it, showing up unexpectedly at times. Conquering it is not something that we do in one day, or even in 1,000 days. It is something that we achieve one day at a time with God’s help. One of our goals should be to recognize it so we can deal with it right away.

Being free from fear doesn’t mean that we will never experience it or be confronted by it. It means that we are committed to not allowing it to rule our lives. Each time you feel fear and decide to “do it afraid,” you will enjoy a new level of freedom in Christ. Every day it’ll get a little easier and you will be one step closer to conquering your fears!

Study Suggestion

Write down the fears you are struggling with in your life right now. Then, read Psalm 34:4, Psalm 56:3, Isaiah 41:10, and Psalm 27:1 and write down what they mean to you. Whenever that fear starts to rise up, use these verses to remind the enemy that you will not let it rule your life.
